Wheel Throwing - Sets

For those who love a challenge, this class is for the brave.  Matching sets, and closed forms are the focus of this class and include pieces that have multiple “parts”.

Focus Pieces:  lidded casserole dishes, teapots, and sets

Class fees include instruction time and use of our tools.  Additional Costs:

Clay - all clay must be purchased from us.  The cost of clay is not marked up from the price we pay from Ceramics Canada.  Clay is purchased from Fired Clay so that we can control the clay types that are fired in our kilns.  It also saves you a trip out to Ceramics Canada.

Firing Fees:  there is an additional cost to fire your pots.  Firing fees include the cost of studio glazes, bisque firing, and final glaze firings.  

Prerequisites:  Introduction to Clay class, or prior wheel throwing experience with clay.  It is expected that students know how to wedge clay, and to center clay on the wheel.  In addition, students should have established good throwing practices.  If you are unsure if this class is right for you, please check with us.
